'Flu
surveillance data for the UK is collected
and reported
by the Health Protection Agency,
the Welsh Communicable Diseases Surveillance
Centre (CDSC), the Scottish Centre for Infection
and Environmental Health (SCIEH), the Communicable
Disease Surveillance Centre (Northern Ireland),
and the Royal College of General Practitioners
Birmingham Research Unit (RCGP).
The 'flu surveillance service is updated
each week throughout the main 'flu season
(November to March). The aim is to provide
a timely summary of 'flu activity in England,
Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
